Covid and The Catskills

Yup. The thing that we hoped would never happen, happened. Covid came to visit our family. Ugh. Robert and Jackie tested positive for Covid this morning with a PCR test after our visit to the Catskills last weekend.

We're hoping that Matt, Abby, and I will avoid it - but who knows. I'm not feeling 100% tonight, but I'm also a hypochondriac, so how I feel is not always completely reliable.

Jackie and Robert have moderate symptoms - not as mild as I had hoped. They have fever, chills, congestion, and general malaise. I just have general malaise, but that's kinda normal for me.

It just goes to show, there's really no avoiding it. We are double boosted, wear masks all the time, and avoid large gatherings, and inside events. But this weekend, we flew back and forth to New York, (ugh airports!) and attended an outdoor wedding. Not super high risk events, but I guess risk enough. Ergh.

On the other hand, you can't isolate forever, right?

I'll keep you posted.
