I always feel like a fish out of water in Beverly Hills - but at the St. John boutique they made me feel comfortable. When I walked in I told them that I was in despair, and they promised me that they could fix it!
I tried on a dozen dresses, and most of them fit - but not all of them were possibilities. I tried on super fancy long sparkly dresses, and short sweet dresses. I ended up with a conservative cut that I thought was flattering. (The most important thing!)
I face-timed Julia when I was there, and she approved my choice and was very sweet and supportive.
Clayton, who was the sales person and stylist, was a delight to work with. He had definite opinions on what was possible for me, and what looked good. It's important to have another perspective when you're shopping alone, and Clayton was my second opinion.
I don't think that I will be hanging out in Beverly Hills anytime soon, but I'm glad that I ventured out of my comfort zone to find the holy grail of dresses -- the MOB dress!
