We are very big on birthdays at our house -- and it rather surprises my girls' partners -- because, well, I think some might say it's a little over top.
But they are soon enough indoctrinated...and are very good sports about going along with all the falderal. Matt even got in on the party planning by grilling delicious salmon for his birthday! It was grilled on the Green Egg barbecue, on wooden cedar planks that gave the fish the most delicious flavor - in addition to the wonderful seasoning.

Our next birthday celebration will be Abby's first birthday!! We'll start planning that tomorrow!!!
