It was so lovely to visit with Barbara today, the owner of Beaver's Den Antiques. She takes such pride in her store and the work that she and her mother have done over the years. And rightly so.
She and mother, over the course of 57 years, have re-homed many antique treasures, and found them new owners who will use and appreciate their worth . But it's more than that.
It's perpetuating a culture that honors the past, and a sense of gracious living. Setting a fine table. Using the good china. Polishing the silver. All things that many today don't consider important anymore.
Well, I do. And Barbara does. And her mother did too.
And I am so glad that we have had Beaver's Den Antiques to light the way all these years!
