Christmas Shopping in Austin at the Junior League's Christmas Affair!

It was actually a rather last minute decision...and then I caught a cold and we almost didn't go! But I was able to push through, and we took it easy (does shopping for 7 hours count for taking it easy?). We arrived at 11:00 a.m. and by 2:00 p.m. we had only covered ONE AISLE of the convention center! That made us laugh!

We learned our lesson, though, and moved a little more quickly, but still had to chat up lots of the other shoppers, so that took up a lot of time too.

Nonetheless, we were successful shoppers, and I got lots of presents for the daughters, and the grands...but Jenny was really the hero of the hour because she had planned ahead in one very important way. She brought a huge suitcase!!! I brought a tiny carry on -- how did I think I was going to get all of the treasure home?

So, thanks to Jenny we were able to get all of our Christmas presents home with us!

It was definitely a stretch for both of us, but we're proud of ourselves, and hope to do it again!
