Oh my, Jill, I teared up a bit too watching your story. Musical instruments are dear to me as well. I held on to my euphonium horn for many, many years after high school - I took countless lessons with that horn and played in honors bands with it, besides my HS concert band. I eventually found a program that refurbished and donated band instruments to underserved schools, and for instruments like low brass, the need is always there! It was hard to finish packing it up to be shipped, though. Still have happy memories of playing it. 💗
