A Visit to Mount Wilson and the One Hundred Inch Hooker Telescope

Writer: JillJill

What a spectacular evening! But to observe the stars in the sky, you have to say up late! We did not leave Mount Wilson until midnight, and walked in our door around 2:00 a.m.!

Whew! Being an astronomer is an exhausting job! But worth it! We saw stars in the sky that were 3.6 billion light years away.

That really gives you pause. Grateful for experiences like this, and the friends that go with it.
