Sequoia Butterflies!

Nature can be so healing. On the day that I saw these beautiful butterflies, I just wasn't feeling well. Robert had been out to a Water Board meeting for the entire morning, and I just couldn't get myself off the couch. Being the hypochondriac that I am, I thought I had some deadly disease, like a sleeping sickness, or even Covid.

So, when he came home from his meeting and said, "Come with me, I want you to see these beautiful butterflies," I was not at all enthused. I planned on staying on the couch all day.

However, he was so excited, and he thought that it would be a lovely video for my blog (which it is!) so I dragged myself off the couch, put on my sneakers, and headed out doors.

The minute I was in the sunshine, I started to think that maybe I wasn't sick after all. Maybe it was just the altitude change that I was getting used to (our cabin is at 7,000 feet) - and it does take our bodies some time to get used to it, each time we visit.

By the time we reached the butterfly garden, I was feeling almost 100%! I'd walked in the sunshine, seen a beauteous slice of nature, and I was with my favorite guy.

What more could a person ask for? Thank goodness for Robert, and those beautiful butterflies. A lovely weekend ensued!
