Christmas Light Show at the Arboretum!

Finding good friends late in life is rare - but such a blessing. Sandy, Jim, and Patricia are those kind of friends for us -- rare and special friends that we cherish.

This past weekend, I was so excited to go to the Arboretum Light Show with them. We had planned a Friday night excursion with dinner, and it was going to be the real "kickoff" of the Christmas season for us.

Alas. It wasn't meant to be. I got sick, coughed all night the night before, and decided that I shouldn't attend the event and be in the night air for so long.

So our friends went without us -- but...

Sandy, who is one of our group, is a wonderful photographer. She just has terrific instincts, and a great eye. She takes all her photos on her phone, and they all turn out spectacularly.

We have traveled with them through the canals of Northern Europe, and France, on a barge, where Sandy always has a camera in hand. At the end of the day, she always gets the best shot of wherever we were. And at the end of the trip -- she has thousands of pictures to share. So, if you didn't get the picture you wanted, you can be assured she has it.

What a gift to us! Good friends and good photos! Thanks for being our eyes and ears at the Arboretum!
